Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field is a plus).
- Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or a similar role within the trucking or transportation industry.
- Familiarity with transportation billing systems and software.
- Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple billing tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer -centric approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of transportation industry regulations and billing practices is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality in handling financial information.
- Proficient knowledge of computer skills.
- Ability to conduct online research for unfamiliar issues.
- Bilingual is a big plus.

Job Description:

As a Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes for our transportation services. You will be responsible for reviewing and reconciling freight invoices, generating customer invoices, and collaborating with internal departments to maintain billing accuracy.
The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen understanding of transportation billing procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review and process freight paperwork/BOLs from drivers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and customer agreements.
- Prepare and send customer invoices based on completed transportation services, adhering to billing schedules and specific requirements.
- Reconcile discrepancies, over-age disputes, and resolve billing issues promptly to maintain positive relationships with customers and carriers.
- Collaborate with the accounting and dispatch teams to obtain necessary documentation and details for accurate billing.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of billing data, such as rates, freight charges, and additional fees.
- Maintain physical billing records and documentation in a systematic and organized manner for easy retrieval and auditing purposes.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collection.
- Assist with the preparation of billing reports and financial analyses as required by the finance department.
- Stay updated with industry regulations and billing procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service to address billing inquiries and concerns from clients and carriers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and contribute to enhancing the efficiency of billing operations.
